I’m more than ready and the Rant holds steady

Rockile Rant stands it’s ground as the number 5 fan blog on MLBLogs.com

So does that make the Rockpile Rant the Number 1 Rockies Blog in the World??

                                                OH HELL YEAH !

1. Confessions of a She-Fan
2. Julia’s Rants
3. Red State Blue State
4. Eat, Sleep, Baseball
5. Rockpile Rant

Thanks to my regular readers for your support for this past year. Remember the Rant during spring training.

As I prepare for this upcoming trip and season I will post a link to some of my favorite snagging entries from last season… One of my Fav’s

Joe and me 2-14-091.jpg

I took a trip to Colorado Springs yesterday to visit an old Army buddy.

Meet Joe Smith..aka Miles Long.

He developed the Miles Long alter-ego after years of people not believing his real name when he told it to them.

There are a lot of Joe Smiths out there but this one is the real deal.

Joe and I were in the Army together and worked together at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs after we finished our tours.

I wanted “Miles Long” to come to Tucson with us but he has schedule conflicts and can’t make it this year.

QUESTION: If you had the most popular name in America like Joe does, what “secondary name/alter ego” would you come up with for yourself?

I’m not sure what I’ve gotten myself into over at  Mets Main Man. But I can tell you I’ve finished my first assignment. I love a good adventure and at this point I have no idea whatsoever what this dude is up to but I’m going to roll with in anyway.

The Real MBU-Not.jpgToday I’m working on my final Banner for the Moblie Blog Unit.

(The moment you’ve all been waiting for…This is NOT the MBU)

Meanwhile,… Andy my co-pilot for the spring training/MBU adventure sliced open his finger open right by his knuckle while attempting to sharpen a knife.

He received eight stitches in this glove hand.

The way the healing process works it looks like the stitches will need to be removed around game two at Hi Corbett. A real man removes his own stitches, it’s cheaper.

It’s time for another edition of:

                                         “Which Rockie Am I”

Which Rockie Am I.jpg                     Today’s Rockies Player was born west of Colorado in the 70’s.

He’s exactly the same size as me.

He was paid less than a million dollars for last season.

He’s in one of last year’s Rockies commericals.

                                                     That’s it…Good Luck

Again I just want to thank the folks who frequent the Rant. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy seeing Rockies blogs in the Top 50. Props to all MLBLoggers for what you do.

My mission is to promote my team and get them some respect and it’s working thanks to you.

Thanks Mark, what if Baby Paul and I joined forces đŸ™‚ ? Rant has been holding # 5, but as I keep mentioning, the best will be here shortly…I promise…D

  2. "D" The Rockpile Ranter

BP/Mark-That’s cool, we’ll be at spring training at the same time. You won’t be able to miss the MBU. I know you’ll stop by.
You’re right. The answer is Ryan Spilborghs. You knew that right away I’m sure…D

  3. nymetsgrrl94

Mark- The Joe Smith you were talking about is one of my favorite players. He was traded to the Indians in the 3-team 12 player trade that brought JJ Putz to the Mets.

I wish I was going to Spring Training this year but my parents said it’s not going to happen. Oh well, I’ll just have to enjoy baseball from my computer.
    Let’s Go Mets!

    Hey D,
Whoa! That last photo is crazy!
I had a friend in my teens named Steve Smith. He had similar issues with getting people to believe him, especially figures of authority. LOL

  5. "D" The Rockpile Ranter

R-LUV-Thank you, no word from that blog thing đŸ˜¦
ELLIE and ELIZABETH-Thank you, I really like both of your blogs and appreciate your kind words and support…D

High five for the five spot.

You are peaking at the right time. right before you head south for the Spring Training games you will probably hit 3rd or 4th and maybe itch for the top spot on your way back home.

I guess blogging is like baseball. If you got the momentum and the good wood behind you, the sky is the limit. Keep heading upward and onward. You know the worst thing is I am comfortable between number 5 and 15. That way I am good enough to read, but I also do not worry the big boys and girls.

Again awesome news and keep that type coming. I love the photos and videos today. Nice touch.

RAYSREN-Thanks brotha, like I’ve said before. I don’t want to own the number one spot, it’s too much work. I just want enjoy a quick moment and feel it up a little bit. I agree with you about staying back a few spots…D
